Title: The New Economics of Technocracy

Author:  Patrick M. Wood

Genre:  Non-Fiction - Politics/Economics

(Narrated under pseudonym, Katherine Quinton)

Release Date: 5/20/26

Summary:  This book is about the most consequential economic transformation in modern history—one that has been in preparation since 1934 and is now entering its operational phase.  The march toward Technocracy is neither Democrat nor Republican, liberal nor conservative

This is really meaty stuff told phenomenally well.  My head is reeling, honestly.  Great research, clear, precise narration with a smooth voice that helps you mentally digest the material.  We must all wake up to the reality of Technocracy.

Title: Medical Silence

Author:  Jameo D. Pollock

Genre:  Psychological Thriller/Police Procedural

Release Date: 5/12/26

Summary:  Medical Silence is a psychologically driven crime thriller that blends investigative realism with moral tension, pushing the Myrna Santiago series into darker, more intimate territory where what goes unspoken may be the most dangerous clue of all.

I just finished listening to the remaining chapters, and they are truly outstanding. I found myself genuinely moved — the scene with Ashura and her father actually brought tears to my eyes. That emotional depth is exactly what the story needed, and you captured it beautifully.

The narrator Oona Maya  was amazing with all the different voices she gifted us with.  Overall, I suggest you go and get this book as soon as possible, I promise you will not regret it. When you finish ask yourself this: for how long are you willing to keep secrets in order to save your marriage??

Title: The Final Betrayal

Author:  Patrick M. Wood and Courtenay Turner

Genre:  Non Fiction - Political/Economics

(Narrated under pseudonym, Katherine Quinton)

Release Date: 12/29/25

Summary:  The dark horse of the New World Order was never Communism, Socialism or Fascism: It has always been Technocracy! Started in the 1930s, re-introduced by the Trilateral Commission in 1973 as the “New International Economic Order,” Technocrats have staged a sweeping coup d’état in plain sight in Washington, DC. during the Trump presidency.

In several chapters the info was compelling enough that I listened to those chapters repeatedly.  I'm not a literary critic.  If anything I'm quick to find the negative about an audio book, whether it's the content or the performance. Not this time.
I especially recommend the last two chapters and the exposure of the number of technocrats involved in the current administration.  This is one audio book Im glad to have purchased.

But Nate isn't the only one hiding something.

Laura has secrets of her own....

I listened to the captivating audio narration by Oona Maya and Stacy Carolan while simultaneously reading the ebook, and both the story AND narration were superb! I was completely absorbed with the main characters; their depth made the stakes feel incredibly real. The secrets and mysterious plot kept me guessing until the very last chapter, as every character seemed both innocent and suspect!
I can’t emphasize enough how much I highly recommend the Audible narration because the actors' expressive voices will draw any reader/listener into the story as if you’re right there!

Title:  Better Off Dead

Author:  Glenda Carroll

Genre:  Mystery

Release Date: 3/17/25

Summary: Successful Marin County, CA financier Andy Barlow is training in the cold San Francisco Bay for a competitive open water swim. Unexpectedly, his support boat runs him over midstroke, killing the swimmer instantaneously.   Although the local sheriff’s office calls the tragedy an accident, his son reaches out to amateur sleuth Trisha Carson to hunt down the real killer.  Trisha digs into the man’s history and finds fractured relationships in his family, his business, and his marriage. There’s clearly more than one person who had reason to seek a deadly revenge, but would they go as far as murder?

I absolutely enjoyed this modern, classic mystery. The high quality storytelling grabbed my attention on page one, the narrator did a great job bringing all the characters to life, and the edge of your seat sleuthing tumbled down the rabbit hole until we finally find the last secret.
